“Emerald Isle” 24″ x 36″ Commission
A nice couple from Connecticut contacted me last summer about doing a commissioned piece. They spend summers at Emerald Isle and wanted a painting for their new home.
I took a lot of photos of “their beach,” both during sunny days and at sunset. I posted all the pictures online. We talked on the phone and exchanged emails to determine the best angle and concepts before I began. Below you will see a sampling of the photos used for the painting.
Once the painting was completed, they asked me to help them select a frame before shipping the artwork to them. I visited a number of frame galleries. We exchanged photos of the frame samples and finally decided upon one they liked. The painting was framed, packaged, shipped and was hung in their new home.
